Four days till we're back

Hello Ashians,
By now most of you should have received your books. The last batch of domestic shipments (those that had been waiting for signature copies) are heading to the post office tomorrow. We do still have a couple of international books we're packing up. Filling out the customs forms takes time and we want to make sure they're packed safely so they can survive the trip out of the country. But those should be shipped out early next week.
Speaking of next week, we hope all of you will join us for our Chapter Two launch on Monday. We're going to be having a limited number of day one deals on the regular and variant covers of the book as well as as catch-up rewards with package deals on copies of Chapter One and Chapter Two. We'd love it if all of the specials went to our returning backers. So come early and join the fun... maybe even have a dink on us.
And by that we mean have a drink on one of these coasters Conor swiped from Sif's diner.
They're just one of the many extra rewards you'll be getting this time around when you back White Ash: Chapter Two.

Fulfillment Begins

Hello White Ashians,
It has begun. The first batch of books went out on Friday.
We'll be packing through the weekend and mailing out another big batch on Monday. If you live in the United States, most of you should have your books by Friday at the latest. There will be a slight delay with books that needed to be signed, as they first have to make their way to NJ for Conor to add his John Hancock, but it shouldn't be much longer.
If you live overseas... honestly, we have no idea. Your packages will be mailed out next week. After that, it's up to customs and our various postal carriers to get you your rewards. But hopefully they should be reaching you in the next two to three weeks.
This process really been an amazing and humbling experience. Thank you again for making White Ash: Chapter One possible. There's no way it would have happened without your backing. We really hope you've enjoyed reading the book as much as we loved creating it. If so, we have a little something to share with you today...
The Kickstarter for Chapter Two launches on February 12th. For the first two days, we're going to have a limited number of reduced-rate, early-bird pledge tiers for our returning backers. We'd love it if you'd RSVP so we can get a sense of how many we need to offer. Regardless, please come early as we'd hate for you to miss out.
We'll have some more sneak peaks from the KS and Chapter Two shortly. But for now, enjoy your rewards. You're the best group of backers we could have hoped for.

Hello White Ashians,
After several months of waiting, we are ready to ship the books out to you. But before they go out, we wanted to check in and make sure no one has moved in the interim. Backer Kit sent out an email yesterday to help us finalize our mailing address list. If you haven’t got that, check your email/junk mail.
If you don’t have it, but are at the same address you were at when you backed us, don’t worry about. But if you have moved, and you don’t see that email from Backer Kit, contact us ASAP with your new address so we can get you your rewards.
Oh, and if you missed our last update, on FEBRUARY 12th, the KICKSTARTER for White Ash Chapter 2 LAUNCHES!
The first book and campaign wouldn't have been possible without all of you. As a thank you, we will have an early bird reward tier for the first two days of the campaign where where you can get Chapter Two at a special rate. And if you were a digital backer for our first campaign and were thinking about upgrading this time around, there will also be an early bird print catch-up reward tier where you can get a deal on print copies of Chapter One and Two. AKA the “Where are the books” update.
Hi everyone,
So if you’re wondering "Where is White Ash #1 and why don’t I have mine yet?" here’s the short story version. There was a delay with the shipping (that we only recently found out about) and the printer is rectifying the situation by expediting copies to so we can get them to you, our incredibly patient backers. They should be in Los Angeles by the end of next week, at which point we will start shipping them out as quickly as humanly possible. (We’d do it quicker if we had one of those automated shipping droids. But sadly, we don’t.) We are truly sorry it's taken so long to get them to you.
And now, if you’re looking for some light reading for your Saturday morning, here's the slightly longer version.
Toward the end of December we started asking ourselves the same question about the location and status of the comics. We’d hoped to get them out to you before the calendar changed to 2018. It had seemed doable as delivery was within the window that had been promised to us by the printer. Realizing that wasn’t happening, we reached out to them to try and get a status update. It took a little while to get in touch, as many people from their office had gone on vacation over the holidays. When the books were finally tracked, hunted down, and located, a unsettling discovery was made — they had missed their ship.
So yeah, turns out that’s actually a thing. Somehow the cartons containing the first chapter of our White Ash saga, didn’t make it onto the boat before it left the dock and began its four week journey across the ocean. Which we all will agree is bad. Thankfully, the printer took responsibly for this screw-up and is airmailing enough copies for us to fulfill our requirements to you, our incredibly loyal backers. Everything else is ready to go (stamps, stock certs, posters, postcards, etc.) and has been for several months.
We’ll post another update next week when the books are actually in hand. After that, if you pledged at the variant cover level or below, you can expect to see your rewards within two weeks. If you’re getting a signed copy of the book (or are overseas) that might take a little longer as there is some extra shipping involved getting the books back and forth between the signers, etc. But I think now I can confidently say, that come February, everyone should have their rewards in hand. We really appreciate your patience and hope you (if you haven’t read the PDF version yet) enjoyed the book, because…
On FEBRUARY 12th, the KICKSTARTER for White Ash Chapter 2 LAUNCHES!
That’s right, we’re coming back to Kickstarter. We were met with such love here on the platform. It let us create a book free from any content restraints a publisher might place on us. 52 page first issue? Heck yeah, let’s do it. And from the feedback we’ve had from you and the incredible reviews we’ve gotten on the book, we know we made the right choice. That’s not to say we won’t go the publisher route in the future (as we’ve already had some discussions with a couple of companies) but for now the plan is to create the ultimate, uncompromised version of the book with you, our partners here on Kickstarter. To that end, here’s a few things you should know.
1) We will have an early bird window open for our returning backers. For the first two days of the campaign, there will be a reward tier where you can get Chapter Two at a special rate. 2) This time the book will be done before we launch. If you’ve been watching on Twitch, Conor is laying out the last couple of pages of Chapter Two. So rather than having to wait half a year to get your books, we anticipate having the PDF out within two weeks of the campaign closing and the printed copies only a couple months after that.
3) The second book is even better than the first. If you liked Chapter One, I think you’re going to love Chapter Two. Conor and Fin have really hit their stride and the pages look incredible. I think you’ll also find Chapter Two is funnier, more touching and a bit sexier than the first one.
4) We’re having so much fun and are incredibly excited about the future of White Ash and that’s all because of you.
